Clean Eat Recipe :: Make Your Own Old Bay Seasoning

Share
Looking to cook up some shrimp or want to make a fancy dinner with lobster? Now you can make your own version of Old Bay seasoning from spices you already have in your cabinets.

The recipe comes from the not-so-clean (although this recipe is) book, The Best of Top Secret Recipes by Todd Wilbur. I have it in my collection because in college, before I started eating clean, I stole it from my mother because there was a recipe to make your own 3 Musketeer and Wendy's Frosty.

Old Bay Seasoning
The Best of Top Secret Recipes, Todd Wilbur, pg 192

Ingredients:
1 TBSP celery salt
1/4 tsp paprika
1/8 tsp black pepper
pinch mace
pinch cinnamon
pinch cardamom
pinch allspice
pinch ginger

Directions:
Mix all together in a small bowl.

Yields 4 tsp of seasoning.

    1. It has some caking ingredients that aren't that big of a deal, but if you want to eliminate those, you can make your own!
