Clean Eat Recipe :: Make Your Own Greek Seasoning Mix

I freaked out when I pulled out our Greek Seasoning and saw that it had soy & sugar!  There is absolutely NO reason why Greek Seasoning should contain those ingredients. I immediately threw it away & searched for another way to make my own mix for the recipe I was creating.  It may seem like a lot of spices but you probably already have most of them!

Recipe Adapted from Food.com

Ingredients:
1 Tbsp + 1 tsp Oregano
1/2 tsp Salt
1 Tbsp Onion Powder
2 tsp Black Pepper
2 tsp Parsley
2 tsp Paprika
1 tsp Cinnamon
1 tsp Thyme

Directions:
1. Mix all spices together!

Makes approx 1/2 cup of seasoning mix.

Use this with our Greek Chicken!

  2. Really nice recipe, clean and easy. Oh and TASTY!! It doesn't make sense why Greek Seasoning would have anything but herbs and spices. Just profiteering if you ask me, most have the strangest ingredients when you have a close look. Jimmy's Greek Seasoning has no unnatural ingredients, if they can do it why would anybody else have to add it.
