Clean Eat Recipe :: Mock-amole

You know that we love avocado (have you tried our Arugula Chicken Burgers?) so we wanted to bring you this quick and easy snack recipe full of healthy fat!


Optional Ingredients: Red Pepper Flakes, Cilantro, Salsa, Ground Coriander

1. Slice an avocado in half and scoop out the fruit
2. Cut each half into 1/2" strips
3. Sprinkle sea salt, a dash of Tabasco (or your favorite hot sauce), minced onion/onion powder, and granulated garlic over both halves

Makes 2 Servings.  Serving Size = 1/2 (roughly 100 g)

Calories - 160
Protein - 2 g
Carbs - 9 g
Fiber - 7 g
Fat - 15 g

  1. Not sure why this is considered a mock recipe. Most real Mexican recipes for guacamole omit some of the extra ingredients some people typically add, whether it is mayo or whatever. We lived in Texas and now live in another state where we can get good real guacamole. Often it does have diced tomatoes and onions in it - makes it more nutritious also, along with cilantro if desired. Not sure that it really needs garlic.

  2. Coming from a Hispanic family, we never make it any other way. Where'd the "mock" come from?
