Motivational Monday :: This is a Lifestyle

It may be called the "Eat Clean Diet" but this is not a diet - it is a lifestyle.  Take it one day at a time - one meal at a time.  Baby steps in the right direction are better than no steps at all!






Give it all you've got.  Keep your meals clean & hit the gym!  Start your week off right!  NO EXCUSES!

  1. Day One....Steel cut oatmeal with blackberries to start followed by a 30 minute walk / run. Plan to go to the gym after work! I hope to get my husband to follow the lifestyle as well. He travels quite a bit which is a huge challenge to eat smart and work out. Love your blog and recipes....Thank you!

  2. Misread "meals" as "keep your minds clean and hit the gym." I like that. Clean food, clean minds, clean success. When my thoughts aren't clean, whether I'm thinking less of myself or getting angry at another person or another thing is when I fail with my health goals.

  3. I am traveling right now and I just back to the hotel. I wasn't feeling like going down to the fitness center, but then I pulled up my facebook feed and there you were..."Have you been eating clean today? Did you make it to the gym? You still have time so GO DO IT!" :) I went and did it...and feel better for it, so thank you for being that little "push" for me tonight!

  4. Now I'm a little new to this whole eating clean style of living. How close can it be to being vegan or mainly on a raw food diet. I know that there are a lot of health benefits to doing what they call a raw food detox, but I guess what I'm mainly asking would be where it can possibly criss cross or be way off the map from.

    1. Clean eating is pretty far from a vegan lifestyle. While you can be a vegetarian and still eat clean, the premise of eating clean is eating things that are either grown in the ground or have a mother.
      Raw diets include either NOT cooking foods or cooking foods for longer times at lower temperatures.
      You can definitely blend the lifestyles, but if you want to eat clean, remember that anything you eat should be unprocessed and natural.
